Snakes are very interesting creatures. As they go along the stretch of life they must grow and shed their skin. I like to think of the L'Hopital's rule as a snake shedding its skin. Since you start with a single problem and you shed layers and layers over time until it cannot change anymore. While in the real world a snake continues to shed its skin for the extent of its life, L'Hopital does eventually reach a point in which it cannot shed anymore.
